Men in Spex Win National Radio Competitionmen in spex have won the Last Chance Saloon competition on Patrick Kielty's Saturday morning show on Radio 2 with their track Say What You Want. This light hearted feature asked bands who "haven't had that big break" to send in a track for Patrick, Bobbie and a guest to critique. The track was to be played, and once 2 of the 3 judges had said stop, the time the track was playing was noted. The winner would be the track that lasted the longest time. Say What You Want was the track that was played in the last week of the competition. Before the track began, Patrick, Bobbie and the guest, Australian chef Bill Grainger, were disparaging about the name of both the band and the CD, however, as the track came on and progressed, they appeared to be genuinely surprised, and enjoying it. The track made it to the end without any of the 3 judges saying "stop", and thus was declared the winner. The prize is to play live on the show on Saturday, 25 September 2010. 19/09/2010
